The Forge began in 2015 when Kevin Green launched a hands-on discipleship ministry for men built around blacksmithing and biblical truth. Groups of twelve men gathered at the Forge ministry center in Barryton, Michigan, where they shaped steel into knives and axes while God shaped their lives. More than a thousand men went through the experience—growing in character, faith, and brotherhood.

Leadership of the original Forge has since been entrusted to Forge alumnus Jose Trejo, with in-person events set to resume at a new location in 2026.

Forge M:28 is a new partner ministry carrying that same DNA into a mobile format, committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18–20 by going.
